Learn the hidden secrets of the MAP! This scavenger hunt will put you in the know of ancient artifacts and mysteries unsolved…complete the crossword and you’ll collect an AWESOME prize!
Sat., Dec. 1: Awesome Anemometers
Calling all budding engineers! Gather ‘round as our MAP scientists show you how to construct your own wind machine! Decorate your anemometer and take it home with you to harness the power of the wind! Better hope for a windy day!
Sat., Dec. 15: Winter Crystal Garden
Gear up for winter by growing your very own crystal garden! Our MAP scientists will teach you the science behind crystallization with this cool, personalized craft! Use your creativity to sculpt pipe cleaner letters that will magically transform into a winter crystal wonderland! (Makes a great gift, hint hint)
Sat., Dec. 22: Tasty Aquifers
Satisfy your sweet tooth while learning about permeable rocks and groundwater! Our MAP scientists/Master chefs will teach you how to transform ice cubes, Sprite, ice cream, and sprinkles into a delicious science treat! Bring your appetite and thirst for knowledge!
There will be no SciFun Saturday on Dec. 8th due to a private event at the Museum at Prairiefire.
